2 beautiful dresses from the Anna Sui store in SoHo. The interior of the shop is a worth a visit even if you find the clothes a bit expensive. Both my dresses were 70 % off, so I think I was very lucky:-)

A Prada at 35 USD!!
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn you find "Beacon´s closet". It is a second hand store filled with great clothes. The dresses are color-coordinated and it takes forever to get through everything, but it is all worth it when you suddenly find a "Prada" dress in your size at 35 USD. The prices are really good here, so if you find a treasure in your size the hunt was all worth it.
I also found a pink "Marc by Marc Jacobs" dress, a brown and grey "Tibi" dress and a brown "Dear creatures" dress, + 2 scarves and an old flowery pin.
To get to "Beacon´s closet" take line L to Bedford avenue. It is on 88 N.11th street (bet. Berry str & Wythe ave.)

Duane Reade
Duane Reade pharmacy can be found all over town. It is great for mostly everything but clothing.
I usually stack up on greeting cards and magazines, make-up from brands like Maybelline, Revlon, Loral etc nailpolish from Essie, OPI, Sally Hansen or Revlon and shampoo/hair products from Bumble & Bumble, Burt`s Bees or Redken. Everything at really good prices compared to home.
They have a travel section where I find my travel essentials for my next trips and stack up (again) on Hand sanitizer gel (for 99 cents). A small "shaving gel" is 30-36 NOK at home and 1 USD here (6-7 NOK).
In the refrigerator I find "Vitamin water", a favorite, Voss water or Cherry coke. I love discovering new sweet drinks and will try everything. In the freezer you can find "Ben and Jerry" ice cream.
My feet get sore from all the walking so I come here to get soles and gel cushions for heels, to make my next days of walking more pleasant.
I also get some chocolate mints for my best friend at home and M&M´s with peanut butter for me.
